Log an activity

Free + Premium
Anything you do counts — a tracked run, a 10-minute stretch, a yoga class you took this morning. Log it however you like, or have the coach log it for you. Imports from your other fitness apps roll in automatically.

How do I log a custom activity?

To log something on your own:

  1. Tap the Log button on the home screen.
  2. Pick an activity type (Move supports 50+, from running and lifting to dance, yoga, and pickleball) or just describe it in your own words.
  3. Set duration, distance, and the time it happened. Add a note or photo if you want.
  4. Tap Save. Points and streak credit are applied immediately.

Prefer to talk it out? Open the coach and say something like “Log a 35-minute bike ride this morning.” The coach will create the activity for you and confirm before saving.

You can edit or delete any activity from the Progress tab → tap the activity → Edit.

How does the daily suggested workout work?

Each day Move builds you a suggested workout based on your goals, recent activity, and anything the coach knows about you. You’ll see it on the home screen as a tappable plan.

Don’t love it? Just tell the coach. You can say things like:

  • “Make this 20 minutes shorter.”
  • “Swap the burpees for something easier on my knees.”
  • “Add some core work at the end.”
  • “Give me a different workout, I want to run today.”

The coach updates the plan in place. When you’re ready, tap Start to begin a guided session, or just complete it on your own and log it after.

How do activities count toward challenges?

If you’ve joined a community challenge, qualifying activities are linked to it automatically. After you finish a tracked or logged activity, you’ll see a confirmation that it counted toward your challenge progress.

If an older activity should have counted but didn’t, open it from the Progress tab and tap the challenge field to attach it manually. Find current challenges in the Community tab.

How do I sync from Apple Health or Google Health?

Move can pull workouts you’ve already recorded in another app so you don’t have to log them twice.

  • Apple Health (iOS): Profile → Settings → Connected apps → Apple Health. Grant Move read access to workouts.
  • Google Health Connect (Android): Profile → Settings → Connected apps → Google Health. Make sure Health Connect is installed and the source app (Strava, Samsung Health, etc.) is writing to it.

Imported workouts count toward your streak, points, and challenge progress just like activities you log inside Move. Move de-duplicates by source ID so you won’t see the same workout twice.

Direct Fitbit import was retired in September 2026, when Fitbit shut down the connection Move used. On Android, Fitbit workouts still reach Move through Health Connect — turn on Health Connect syncing in the Fitbit app. Workouts you imported from Fitbit before then are unchanged.
