Maintain a streak

Free + Premium
A streak is the number of days in a row you’ve completed at least one activity in Move. To start one, just move today — one tracked, logged, or imported workout is all it takes. Your streak shows up as the flame on your home screen and on shared activity photos.

What counts as a day for my streak?

Any activity that lands in your Move history counts. That includes:

  • Activities you track in the app (GPS or timer)
  • Activities you log manually from the “Log” screen
  • Workouts the coach logs for you when you talk to it
  • Workouts imported from Apple Health or Google Health

One activity per day is enough to keep the streak going — there’s no minimum distance or duration to hit.

How are streak days calculated across timezones?

Move uses your phone’s timezone to decide what counts as today and yesterday. A streak day runs from local midnight to local midnight.

If you’ve already logged something today, your streak is locked in for the day. If you log something tomorrow, the streak grows by one. If you skip a full day with no activity, the streak normally resets to zero — unless you have a skip day to spend (see below).

Travelling? Your streak follows the timezone your phone is currently set to. If you cross a date line and the day on your phone changes, that’s the day Move counts.

How do skip days work?

A skip day is a one-time pass that protects your streak when life gets in the way. If you miss a day but you had activity the day before, Move automatically spends one skip day from your balance and your streak keeps going as if you’d moved.

There’s nothing to tap — it happens behind the scenes the next time the app generates your plan. You’ll see a calendar marker in your history for the day that was covered.

How to get skip days:

  • Buy them in the rewards store. Open the Rewards tab and pick the Skip Day item. You spend reward points to add one to your balance, and it’s added instantly.
  • Subscribe to Premium. A new monthly subscription comes with 1 skip day, and a new yearly subscription comes with 3.

Your current balance is shown in the Rewards tab whenever you have at least one skip day. Skip days don’t expire and stack with each other — if you have three, you can miss three separate days without losing your streak.

Where can I see my streak?

  • Home tab — the flame badge in the top-right corner shows your current streak.
  • Progress tab — tap the flame to see your current streak, longest streak (personal best), and a calendar of active days.
  • Shared posts — when you share a workout to the community feed, the flame is overlaid on the photo.
